Moonguide, also known as Gerardo Munguia, was born and raised in beautiful El Salvador. With a knack and passion for the musical arts, he began to sing as a kid in the biggest stages of the country. Opening concerts in stadiums and popular televised events. Soon after, he recorded his own CD and sang all over the world in cities like New York City and Seoul, Korea at the young age of 15.
When he began his studies in Syracuse University, he joined the most creative and revolutionary musical collaboration on campus: the funk-fusion band “The Monk”. Moonguide’s musical taste morphed and expanded exponentially as he found himself being part of a group where he could express himself freely through edge-cutting lyrics and power house vocals. They toured all over the city and created an original, self titled EP.
